I have just finished a level 1 course in health and social care. I was planning on using it. To gain entry to a midwifery degree, but am a single parent now. I can take a level 2 and a level 3 course and it will become an 'open degree - a degree made up of a mixture of subjects. Hoping I can use it to become a teacher.

Well, Good luck all of your courses and keep up a good work!
I think it's a good idea to become a teacher and that's great! I'm sure you will be great! :)

I live in the US but my experience is that you just have to be on the ball and have to really want to do your classes. procastination is the nemisis to online classes, i swear.
Im taking hybrid classes, lecture at the college and then homework/tests online, for advertising and web construction

I'm pretty good at mulit-tasks :) I won't mind for doing that but still thinking about it or not..if it is my choices of making the right things to do..if I likes it or not so whatever I likes to do in the future.

Just an aside - for Mandy, don't let being a single parent put you off doing your midwifery degree, if you really want something you can go for it and don't let anything stop you.
There are student loans you can get and extra help if you are a single parent.
I've taken online courses - they are, in my view, good as a starting point but in my opinion you can't beat learning face to face.
