Oh dear, you never ever have to apologize for posting again. Honestly, that's what we're here for.

Have you taken a look at this thread about dealing with flashbacks?

I'm sorry that your anniversary is coming up. It is such a rough time and especially around this time of year with all the busyness that typically goes on.

Please post here more if it helps, and I really hope it does. Could you consider talking to a therapist to get some more tools to help you get through this? I've found that taking it easier on myself and allowing myself to be needy is helpful sometimes. So is keeping myself busy.

There is no need to apologise, as Amaryllis said thats what we are here for to listen and give support if we can. Its understandable that the flashbacks are more intense at the moment, anniversarys can be hard to deal with. Have you tried any grounding techniques such as placing your feet firmly on the ground, holding a a small object in your hand that you can hold onto or describing what you can see, hear, feel around you. The link that Amaryllis has given you has lots of other great links in it too. Remind yourself also that you are safe and nothing can hurt you anymore. Be gentle with yourself. Take care

anniversarys can be awful times... as has been said already try some grounding techniques. I find a cold shower can work quite well, think it's the rapid change of temperature or something...

also, don't be sorry for posting, we are all here to support one another

thank you for your replies. Today has been awful. I had horrible nightmares in the night that made me shake and ive had two panic attacks. My best friend wont talk to me, making me feel like she thinks im disgusting and dirty, and like i deserved what happened. I just wanted some company today and no one will be there. I dont want anyone to take this away, i know they cant, ust dont want to feel so alone. Ive SHed loads and im sure its not the end of it for the night. I feel so horrible, ive been in the shower loads, its disgusting, the feeling and smell etc. Why cant i just disappear xx
