At least my work today is a 20 minute walk. In what looks like the rain!
I think the problem yesterday was some kind of unexpected traffic jam/roadworks...
I'll check the tfl site before I head home on Thursday, and if the roads look iffy I'll walk! Or get 2 buses and go the other way around.
Yes, Jess, work went well.
I shut down at 5pm, but that was because I hadn't eaten a proper lunch. I'll eat properly on Thursday, my next afternoon there.
I hate that.
I'm currently training for my new job and it's in Surrey...I'm in London.
It takes me an hour and a half without traffic.
The pain of public transport but still less hassle than it would be to drive it I'm guessing?!?

Where is the job? I used to work for the trains, some routes are deff better than others!
The best thing about working shifts and free train journeys is that I never had to do rush hour tube or bus.
But it's not just rush hour when the buses go slow, I was in bus with road works about 7pm saturday, what should have been a 15 min max ride took almost an hour, my baby wasn't impressed and let the whole bus know. Luckily I was with a few friends otherwise I would of got so desperate I'd have walked, very dodgy area in the dark with bubba
I don't drive, but takes me 40mins to walk from my flat to uni, 20mins by bus on a good day... at the moment though as I keep being in practicals until 6 and there are 2 patches of road works between my flat and here and I have to get 2 buses anyway it can take upto 2 hours to get home :O would walk... but it's aberdeen and autumn now... so cold and wet and nasty...
My job used to be a 15 minute car journey from my house. In rush hour, on the bus it used to take and hour and a half. That's how long my partner takes to get to his job in LONDON on the train (we live on the sussex coast)!
I always have to choose a good seat on the bus, to lessen chance of panic attack and such.
I've gone back to front in some ways, because I used to be able to handle trains and not buses, and now it's the other way round.
Just as well, as buses are the main way to get around where I live now.
I looked on tfl this morning, and that bus route was running normally. I will keep an eye on tfl...
Ok, you want a day from hell? I'll give you one.
I left my house at 7.30. I got to the Oval at 8.13.
Only to discover that a tube had derailed (empty you'll be glad to know) at the station I get off at for work. But also closed 4 stops ahead so no point in going to one with any intention to get a bus from the next stop. Not possible.
So I thought well I'm at the Northern line, go back to London Bridge and get an overland.
I was underground for over an hour. To be exact I couldn't even get near a tube to London Bridge until 9.20.
I got to London Bridge and their trains don't go to Morden South until 16.58 or 17.49. Why this is I do not know.
So I ask information and subsequently spend the next 10 minutes repeating the word M O R D E N. I even spelt it 3 times.
He said go to Tulse Hill and change. So I did.
Got to Tulse Hill at 10.35
Got to Morden South at 11.05
Then had to get a bus to the road I work on.
(I should explain I am currently training at Head Office - in Surrey and I love in South East London)
Got the bus, called my Mum to look on the net and see how many stops it was so I didn't get lost.
Got to work at 11.26.
