J, I'm glad you have a lovely warm flat and ok weather. My flat is a really old Glasgow tenement with high windows, so it gets cold easily, but the heating is on and my tv is competing with the wind. Time to get the onesie out!
My parents lost their electric due to the high winds.
I can't watch (or record) TV due to the fact that the dish is being bashed about in the wind. Fortunately it's not too rainy where I am.

My house seems to be in the windiest possible position. The windows are getting battered with rain and all I can hear is the high-pitched whine of the wind. All night. When I need to be up early in the morning.
Time for a tea before I need to go outside to the freezer.
Storm Desmond is here. I got absolutely soaked today and it's really windy as well. This house is freezing too and the wind goes right through it. It doesn't help that my neighbour stands with the door right open like it's the middle of summer.
It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.
It's windy where I am but no rain today which makes a change for Wales.
I sure as hell hope there will be none today either, as I have things to do and places to go to!! Though, in truth, I know not to expect too much of the Welsh weather. #BPDweather
Its not too cold in London but it is windy though. My bin got knocked over by the very windy weather. What I find helps me in the cold weather is having hot drinks/soup in a flask if I go out anywhere.
