Hi my name is joyce im 16 and im currently in grade 11 and i had sex with my father i didn't want to but he just did it anyways it has stopped now i still have nightmares and flash backs what can i do to stop them?

Sweetie pie it's not your fault. You didn't "have sex" with him, he abused you. You're a young girl and being forced into that (or just being told you'll be punished if you don't/rewarded if you do) is abuse. *hugs gently* Have you ever told anyone? Usually therapy and supportive friends and family helps. Do you still live with your father honey?

I agree with the above. Just to add though in my signature there are a few links that may be of some us for you in the short term. THere are some ways that you can help with nightmares and flashbacks, thy ar not perfect but they can hlp make it mor tollerable

Hey, as already said, it cannot in anyway be your fault. What he did was wrong, and it is clear through the nightmares and flashbacks that this is really affecting you. I do not have a lot to say right now, but was this recent? And do you still live with your dad?

I agree with everyone it isn't your fault and I hope you can get some help to deal with what was done to you and live a happy life. You were violated, the victim, he has broken the law and much more. xxx
