I know it's not widely used, but I'm wondering what people think about posts that contain very graphic material? Would that just be best in a hide box... or not even that?
“Never lose faith in yourself,
and never lose hope;
remember, even when this world throws its worst and then turns its back,
there is still always hope.”
Sarah: Give me the child.
Jareth: Sarah beware. I have been generous up till now. I can be cruel.
Sarah: Generous? What have you done that's generous?
Jareth: Everything! Everything you have wanted I have done. You asked the child be taken, I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I have reordered time. I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you! I am exhausted from living up to your expectations of me. Isn't that generous?
I have a few things. Adding/removing in list (will be clear what is from me or not)

Woah, loads of people already voting on the poll! Insane.
ETA something productive: I don't think the site needs a SI label... Because I think that can be assumed. It's an SI site, why need a label? And OD falls either into SI or suicide, either way I don't know if it needs it's own label. And graphic strikes me as similar to 'slightly' or 'majorly' triggering - subjective. I don't find a lot of things graphic that other people do, and vice versa.

Serious discussion doesn't need SI, this is a SI site and really you should be expecting that SI will be in most threads in all forums. (IMO) Doesn't need suicide either, as its a 'serious' forum.
Graphic, again IMO, isn't really needed as a] it's hard to define graphic, and b] you can't really go too graphic with what you're saying, as per the rules.
& Chels, I sort've agree with you, now that you've said that.

I'd like to know why you would keep alcohol in substance abuse but not illict drugs/abuse of meds?
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
I don't like having the overdose one. It's weird. Doesn't it fall under the self harm or substance abuse label? Can I get an explanation for it please?
Also, I can't see a need for all of these:
Contains alcohol
Contains illicit drugs
Contains medication
In the substance abuse forum, we don't have trigger labels for different methods of self harm, do we need them for different methods of substance abuse?
I like that it's been simplified, but I think it could be stripped down a bit more...

Certain things are to be expected in certain areas, as other people have said. For example, if reading the bullying section, it's reasonable to expect talk about bullying. Same for talk of abusing medication or alcohol in the substance abuse section. Surely we should all be using our common sense & just not reading those areas when we're vulnerable to being triggered?
Also, I agree about the OD trigger, I never really saw the specific need for it, particularly where there's a suicide trigger

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level & beat you with experience
^ My apologies, I misread it - didn't see the word abuse before bullying. I've edited to remove abuse as well as bullying - I wasn't belittling bullying, just think it's something you should expect to read in that forum.
