Triggering (SI/ED) - Sorry if i posted this in the wrong place...

Basically I am doing an art project on mental illness/health.
I have experienced some but my experiences are limited to depression and I was just wondering if someone could enlighten me about different mental illnesses and their experiences with it so that I can accurately convey feelings about mental illness because I want to do this topic justice.
If this is in the wrong place I am sorry.
Also if you don't want to tell me on here please message me, it is really important to me that I get this right and researching in the internet may give you some facts but will not give the same insight as to learning about personal experiences and feelings of mental illness.

Be childish, be irresponsible, be everything this society hates and do it with as much style as possible, and don’t fear failure. That was the real message. That was the art. Better to be a flamboyant failure than any kind of benign success

Can you be more specific about what you want to know of the experiences?

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

how it feels to have them/know someone who has them, do you see any positives if you have them (eg has it made you a stronger person if you have overcome them etc), if you have been treated did you want to be treated, stuff like that really.

I have an account on deviantArt and most of my stuff there is based around my mental health, not sure if that would help. As for possitives as all my "stuff" is trauma based I try to see it as proof of strength and survival rather than as a disorder or disability or whatever. As for what it feels like... well that's harder to describe will have to think about that to work out how to transfer it into words I think - shall return tomorrow when more awake
