Opinion/help/does anyone else do this?

[EDIT:Me being a douchebag, I posted this in 'general chat' since i'm a newbie here, and didn't know any better. But, since I'm all educated now, here we are :)]

Hey guys :)
I'm new here, literally just joined, but as I have to go revise for my GCSE exam now (eek!) so I'll be quick.
Basically, aside with other things, I have this insane addiction with cutting the hard skin off my feet. Don't get me wrong, I'm not encouraging it, it's awful. I feel I need to do it to be happy, but I'm not happy when I have to hobble around school because my feet hurt so much. I don't do it for the pain, for some reason i think that because that skin won't be there, i'll weigh less when i get on the scales. (obviously, I don't)
So, do you guys know anyway I can stop doing this? I hate the addiction, and I'm always covering my feet up because i'm so paranoid about people finding out, and the pain of walking around, and the mess i have to clean up afterwards (tmi, sorry). I tried to stop once, and threw my out the window (dramatic, yes :L), but then the next day i ran back outside and found them again :/
So yeah, any ideas? Also, does anyone else do it too? It would be nice to know I'm not the only insane one :)
Thank you! :D xx

I used to do this... I'm not sure why. I think it was something to do with hating the hard skin and deciding that if I removed it then it would be gone and all would be ok.

I found that treating the hard skin made it a bit easier to not "attack" it. So started using all sortd of moisturisers and stuff on my feet. For some reason when the skin was smoothers and less hard I didn't feel the compulsion to remove it.

Yeah, I agree.
You can treat the hard skin, and it's quite simple, you just have to stick with it.
Then hopefully you won't have the desire to hurt yourself and remove it with such drastic measures.

There are all sorts of intensive moisturising creams, as well as pummice stones and the 'pedegg', that will remove hard, dead skin.

Hope this was of some help. =]
