the system is totally messed up when it comes to these things. It's far too paranoid of false convictions, which is STUPID I know.
Best thing you can do right now though is corroporate with them. If they start bringing those things up though just use logic back: ie. these things have NO relivance on the case and HE is on trial not you. If you keep back at them with logic often they give up and actually go back to relivant items.
They may also be preparing themselves for the defense trying to bring them up... so they know what to expect. You can always call the prosecution and ask about it...?

Maybe the fact that your problems intensified after the incident and they wanted to show emotional torment? I know that it is unfair, just put it in your mind it is ALL for you- not against you.
You're right, it's not fair. I'm sorry I don't have any good advice or words of comfort. I just wanted to tell you that your reaction is understandable and reasonable... and I am sorry *hugs*
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Oh Ann...I'm so sorry. You are right; it isnt fair.
Angelic Monster..pls dont take this wrong, I know you meant well...but ctc'ing the prosecution about it will actually make things worse, I believe. They will then know how you feel about this and may use that to 'rattle' you.
I dont want to worry you more ann..but it needs to be considered.
After all, their job is to 'win' and they will likely do whatever they can.
No offense taken Romp... Depends on where you are I suppose. I work in the state prosecution office in my city and we have really good victim oriented paralegals here who would explain why it was being pulled and talk it over with the victim in the case. I figured it was a standard office set up for other prosecution offices too. Our office does try to win their case but not by rattling victims and such... we also have a victims rights group we work with that helps in certain matters... Anything like that in your area?

hey hun, you are the prosecuting side, do you mean that his defence team will try to use the records against you?
i wonuldn't worry about it, nothing excuses what he did, nothing at all. and you could argue that the trauma etc has set your recovery back - which it has - and maybe it would strengthen your case. mand x
