I don't even know what happened. This morning I was tempted to buy Left 4 Dead 2, and allowed myself to spend the £30 on it through Steam, leaving it to download whilst I went to University at lunch.
I think I blacked out at some point in GAME and spent £130 on all of this. I love student loans. But I wish I had some willpower.
Modern Warfare 2 is bloody awesome, your going to like that
I can't wait to play it. Unfortunately I'm having that problem where you buy several awesome games at once and can't decide what to play.. i'm going on MW2 in a moment xD
Don't have an xbox :P
Can set fire to my brothers though, if you want.
But seriously, any COD game is boring, Left 4 Dead 2 demo was like L4D but with crappier characters and some random new infected and some crappy melee weapons.
Assasins Creed I bored me to tears, so I'm only hoping Creed II wont D;
Don't get into the habit.
Spend a bit at the beginning, cool.
Just be CAREFUL & start BUDGETTING.
Because otherwise you'll get into my position. Debt collectors chasing me, banks closing my accounts, no money for rent, barely any food, phone being cut off.. & I'm only in third year. :\
Be careful!
I also agree with the others who say don't get into the habit of it. As a one of if you have the money that's fine but Student Loans aren't that much and are often neded to live on. I know many people who never get out of their overdraft even though they do budget and they really do struggle and it's not a nice position for them to be in so just be careful as it can be a slippery slope if you're not careful. One important thing is, if you're likely to get into the habit of this, is NOT to buy a credit card and remember how much you need for rent and food as well as stuff for your course and things and then the rest can carefully be spent on whatever.
Oh sorry I forgot to put in the first post; due to my college grades I was awarded £2000 on top of my loans, so I won't go getting into debt don't worry :3
Also, Tiff: "any COD game is boring" - I think the 211,353 players online disagree with you ;)
i got my loan and grant yesterday and by lunchtime i'd spent around £500 of it. However mine was on council tax and fee's. Booo. Plus i owe more out for vets bills, credit card and savings. So i have pretty much nothing left. However i have a full time job so all of that is pretty irrelevant really!
