Do you know why you've been rejected?
How many did you apply for?
I wouldn't feel too disheartened, I know people who only got accepted by one uni but still it does suck immensely.

And you say I only hear what I want to.

Well you still have two more to go so I'd try and be positive about them :)
Everyone seems to be doing primary ed nowadays so maybe the unis have been told to be more harsher on applicants so I wouldn't take it too personally.

Devil Girl (sorry don't know your name) well done!!

Primary education is really, really competitive and courses can only take so many people per year. Even if you aren't successful this year, there's always next year.

I went to all my stuff today :D

also, does anyone know anything about transfering unis? My boyfriend and I have been talking about leaving Aberdeen (personal reasons) but I'd have to transfer my course, and I have no idea what that entails or evenwhere to begin looking into the option...

Yeah, but the thing is,I'll already be 26 by the time im qualified and to be honest the longer I wait, the less likely it is that I'll be able to afford it.

Well done shadow. Also is there anyone you could talk to who cold explain all the possible options?

Sadako (sorry don't know your name) I'm ash, thanks, I've been struggling to go to classes or have walked out of them etc so have a sticker chart and I get a sticker evertime I go to all my classes - then rewards after certain amounts of stickers....i'm such a kid!

Ah, I see. You already work in a school, or am I imagining that? There might be other routes to try, although I'm not very up on teaching so I don't know.

Hazel, I think you would need to contact the universities you would be wanting to transfer to and ask them if they would accept you in the first instance. Then they would be able to explain the transfer process to you.

You do know that mature students can sometimes get special bursaries/grants to try and make university more accessible don't you?

If it's any consolation my Mum didn't manage to get to uni to do primary teaching until she was 40! Financially it was a struggle as for a year we had no income for my Mum and 3 kids and she definately didn't find it easy getting back into education after so many years out, however she loves her job now. Hopefully you won't have to wait anywhere near as long as that to achieve your goal! But it's proof that it is possible.

Keep your fingers crossed, with any luck the two universities still to reply are taking longer as your application has gone through a few rounds of whittling down candidates.

Thanks lovely :)

I know I would be getting extra money, I guess I just feel like there would be other things to spend money on, other things going on in my life etc.

Yeah, my mum was 45 before she got her degree so I know its completely possible to do....But I really want to get into teaching asap as its so hard to get a TA job in my area and I feel ready to be a teacher, Im just being impatient!

I hope so!Its just annoying waiting I think, its getting to me lol.Hate rejection :P xxx

Group projects are ridiculous and a total waste of time.
