I took a list to my first appointment, in fact each time I get a new psych person I take a list lol.
SOmetimes they are greatful and find it really helpful that you've thought about it, other times they just sort of ignore that you have it. But I generally think lists are good, not only does it stop you forgetting bits, but also if you find your self to scared to say something ou can gie them the list to read theirselves.


as for what happens... well they basically ask a load of questions "what has brught you here?" "what do you want to get out of this?" "what probems bother you the most?" etc.

Well I'll try to sit down and make a list tomorrow. I know how forgetful I'll be and I like the idea of just handing it to them. I don't know why but I can never *say* what's wrong...I just babble and stuff. =/
Alright...I can see myself hating those questions, lol.
I'm so scared though...they'll probably decide i'm beyond help. Or other such horror stories I've heard about NHS therapy. =/

For the most part, I've never had a problem with the NHS. Other then with one doctor at my local surgery that no matter what I'd go in for her diagnosis was 'you'll be fine if you lose weight'. I'm serious. I went in with an ear infection and that's what she said. *facepalm*

I've just heard some stories about people's bad experiences with therapy on NHS. But then again, since coming on RYL I've heard good stuff too. I just hope I get a good one. xx
