I think I am the happiest person in the world, kickboxing is the reason I love uni so much.
My mum and brother are coming to see me today, to bring up my assignment which they printed out for me (stupid printer running out of ink two weeks before going homeness. >.<), handing one assignment in tomorrow, finished other assignment, then just revision for exam and mock exam before Easter, and then Easter-time!
The holidays are actually quite boring, everyone has gone home, and, well, I have nothing to do but either sit on my arse, or revise. I suppose it will be good for my degree, and there really isn't much point in me going back to my parents because all my friends have shorter breaks so will still be off at uni, and well, I don't really want to spend time around my mum.
Well, hopefully this social isolation will be productive :-/

I've told my parents that I can't spend the whole holiday at their because I have revision to do and need the library. They can't really argue with that, but in any case, my mum still seems to have got slightly stroppy over it. They also seem to not like the fact that I'm going to an NUS LGBT conference, so much for them accepting it....

well my first day back for the new quarter went okish.... except that the chem class i am in is lower than a chem class i took at a different school. We covered significant figures today.. i covered that in high school.. 9 years ago. and my higher level teachers want me to use them differently, in a more accurate way than the basic way the chem teachers want.
And they wont let me transfer the class to that class, because the class i took transfers to another chemistry class i dont need.
grumblecakes. I guess it will be an easy A and a good review for my next level chem next quarter.. but i'd rather not pay $150 for books and an online subscription plus the 6 hours a week class time, plus homework time.
on the other hand, i do get to play with fire!

^Thats really unfair! They shouldn't give you grades back unless they are the final grades you will get! I think a lot of people will be complaining about that!!!
I am at home for the easter break, have done some work but not a lot...been at work work instead!
Doing economics work today and I really don't understand it! *Cries* it is the test I think I have failed aswell so have to do well in the exam to bring my grade up....
I have so much reading to do! I am so behind! Another week of studying though I have a lab, 2 tutorials and a test to revise for before going back! GOing to be busy!
You made up your mind to torture mine!
If you read a scar like a book, you will relise the story in which you over look

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
ERGHjrauvt rrhrti uruewvp WHY DO LECTURERS CONSTANTLY CHANGE THEIR STANDARDS??
We've had to do some engineering drawings for our Design & Applications project (basically involves research, then designing then building and testing something- in our case: a piston water pump). They're meant to be done to British Standard BS8888 or whatever. We got our CAD lecturer to look over them and he said they'd be fine industry standard drawings. But noo, not good enough for our DAP lecturer.
Also- he wanted 1 perfect approved drawing per person by 9am on the first day back. Now it's gone up to 4, and his last meeting with us to approve them is Wednesday. I'm still not back in the country. And supposedly now, if we fail this module, we have to resit the whole year as opposed to just resitting the module. I feel like I might as well give up now.

Also, I've heard wonderful things about Canterbury Christchurch. Though not a specific course I'm afraid.
Wake me up before I change again
Remind me the story that I won't get insane
Tell me why it's always the same
Explain me the reason why I'm so much in pain.
i did withdraw from academic classes for about 2 years while i was getting some more intense psych help, trying to get the right meds, therapy.. all that jazz. I am not fully better, but the first simester i went back to academic classes i got straight A's and have gotten pretty good marks since. It is hard to get back into it, i did have to re-take some math classes, as i forgot too much to continue where i left off.
Good luck!
