I have no motivation. But that's just because I'm lazy!
Getting there, though. I went to the library today - on a SATURDAY! =O! Took this evening off, watched a REALLY bad film with friends. And then I shall be in the library again tomorrow. Hurrah.
I had the most awful week this week at uni. I had an interim review of my work. Normally you get about 20 minutes of feedback maximum, i had around 40 minutes of being ripped to shreds.People i spoke to aftrwards said they were picking on me, people couldnt get a word in edgeways.
I have no money left, i dont dare look at my account and still have another 5/6 weeks until loan comes through! loan is 3 weeks later than last year, people do not have money for materials, uni wants £100 off us for materials which doesnt cover any glass for the course. my friend is having a meeting with someone to get the date brought back to a closer day as many of us now are struggling to even pay bills. if the loan comes through when it says it will we wpuld have 2 weeks left of term, the money is too late by then to buy materials for hand in.
Jane, that sounds awful! Does your university have any hardship schemes, or emergency loans? I know that we can borrow money from the uni if you really need it and then you pay it back as soon as your loan comes in.
'm in a similar situration with money right now... my rent was due last week but there was nothing in my account, so now got no money, no loan till 20th of april and a frozen bank account...
speak to student support they'll be able to advice you on hardship loans, discresionary funds, etc...
I already had one hardship fund this academic year due to havingmoney stolen from me due to my previous landlord so it would be unlikely i would get one again. The thing is the uni cannot afford to give everyone money, majority of people on my course that have students loans are nearing the maximum of their overdrafts. I dont know if every uni in the country gets loans at the same time but with my course material costs the money doesnt last.Loan doesnt come through until 27th of april... 3 weeks later than last year.
thankfully at the moment i dont think i will need to buy any more course materials before easter, but things change.I dont dare tell my parents how hard up money is, i dont thinki i even told them i have another 6 weeks or w/e until loan.
Our uni is having more major cuts, rumours going round the department that one tutor is taking retirement which means that it would be unlikely replaced, our course leader is no longer out course leader so another one will have to be found but chances are we will not get one. Our contact time with staff will be cut even more when we barely get anything now esepcially when the two tutors that may be left may have to take up position of course leaders. If that makes sense...
hardships loans can be applied for multiple times... you have to declare that you've had one before, but each is assessed and processed on it's own merits
Adult Nursing. Christ Church would have been the easier option as I could live at home and it only being 10 minutes away on the train, but I really loved Kings.
i have failed at doing any real work toda, although yesterday i did loads compared to what i ususally do, so i guess im kinda balanced.
i just cant concentrate
6 hours ago I had 3,800 words. I had to get rid of loads so have just got back up to 3,800. Still got loads to do but am quickly losing motivation. Have to keep taking breaks. Had to stop drinking coffee as well - was shaking and had to pee every 20 minutes so wasn't really getting a lot of work done. Have a 10am lecture tomorrow so I can't really stay up all night to get it done (I've missed loads of my Monday lectures). I don't really want to spend all of tomorrow night awake either. My goal is to finish everything tonight apart from the conclusion, although whether that happens is anyone's guess. It feels like I've still got loads that needs doing but I don't know how much of that is me just not letting my self get complacent. It'll be a nice surprise though when I finish sooner than expected. Lol!

got most of the info... it's ust annoying as I wrote the essay but then got informed I'd mis read the title (I though it said "explain why the hypocratic oath is still relivant today" when really it said "decribe and explain which aspects of the hypcratic oath are relivent today") so I got given till tomorrow to re-write it (from wedensday... first one took almost a month)
so I can re-use a fair bit of the old essay... seems rediculas that such a small mis-reading could make such a HUGE difference to the content...
