lol yall need to to go to the messages board inside the greving forum and read Hiding's letter to her papa. it is so freaking funny. but that was his sense of humor and he woulda appreciated it. lol it made us all feel a bit better when she wrote him that.. just hope he heard/saw/read it somehow .. lol
me and karma have pretty much running the show lately.. or trying to.. sarah sneaks out when home and hiding sneaks out and cries sometimes but we are functioning overall pretty well considering i think..
seems better than when we lost our aunt and our granny for somereason.. ( guess because we actually saw first hand how much poor papa suffered)
*shrug*
take care

Hi.
Sorry I feel I have no right to post here because I haven't in a long time and I think people hate me.

I am confused because I don't notice the others anymore and I don't feel them fully taking over. It makes me doubt my diagnosis.
Does anyone else get this?

Sadie - I'm sure that he's read it and he appreaciates it very much (: maybe you're coping better because you know how to deal with it and because now you know that he's not suffering anymore?

Facet - You're always welcome to post here, just because you haven't in a long time doesn't mean you shouldn't. We know how you feel because recently I'm the only one that's been around... I don't know where the others are.

Skye.

We know the feeling, we've experienced a lof of death and most of the time it just doesn't feel real.

Hope you're doing okay today.

It's good to see you Megan, hope you've been doing ok.

Sometimes I have what I call 'quiet' periods, where the dissociative symptoms ease up a bit, and I don't hear the voices so much, and I don't lose time. I don't have a diagnosis of DID, but when I go through a quiet period, it really makes me feel like the rest of the time I'm making it all up.

It's a relief to hear that people can relate. I just feel like a fraud when that happens. Though since I've written this and on another forum and in the system's journal, I feel them closer, can hear them talking. Huh. I guess I had to unlock communication.

I am very drained. Things have been crazy, but I'm surviving. How are you?

I have times like that too... periods of a few days or whatever when there are basically no symptoms at all, they are confsing and fairly unnearving... eventually though it always all comes back

Things have been pretty crazy for me too, the whole christmas period does not lend itself to having a good time generally.

I'm glad you're surviving =) You went back to college this year didn't you? How's that going?

I did! I finished the fall semester with one A and two Bs, which is exciting. I'm still in good academic standing. I should be done with community college this upcoming fall and graduate with my A.S., and then I can transfer to a four year university to get my Bachelor's in Psychology. The spring semester starts next week, so I'm a little nervous.
Thanks for asking!

Those are really good grades, well done =D and good luck for this semester! Which uni do you want to do psychology at? I'm doing a degree in psych too right now, and it's awesome; such an interesting subject =)

GMU is where I'll be getting my Bachelor's. But I'm in the US so that probably means nothing to you, haha.
High five for psych students! :)

Yeah, GMU = complete blank for me. Mind you, I bet Middlesex means nothing to you too, and that's where I'm at ;)

We go to uni in 2012 cos we're a year behind... Unfortunately that's when all the tuition fees go up.

GMU is near washington isn't it? I think we used to know someone who went there... they had to pay rediculas fees, but I think that was due to them going there from england.

Hopefully we will be going to durham or newcastle in september. Just waiting for a referance to be written

serious question - if an alter sleeps with someone other than the hosts parter does it mean that the host cheated on their partner?

I don't think it means the host cheated. Although I think someone needs to ask the alter why they did that, to see if there's a way to arrange that it doesn't happen again.

A question that just sparked off in my brain - if a partner sleeps with an alter, do you think that counts as the partner cheating on the host? Does it make a difference if they didn't know the alter was 'out'? Does anyone think that partners shouldn't sleep with someone's alters, even if the alter is adult and the host is ok with it?

I had a discussion with jack about that a few months ago. He thinks that it would be cheating. In the past we have switched during things before and he has realised, but also in the past alters have inisiated things with him and he hasn't realised that it wasn't me, and afterwards he's felt awaful, apparently he felt that he'd cheated on me
