What I meant by
"Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is conspiracy. "
is pretty simple.
If someone does something once, for instance they give you a ride home and are a bit weird, that's just an accident. That's a once in a blue moon thing that is terribly unlikely to happen again.
If the same thing happens twice, that's a coincidence. Like if I run into someone at a burger place and for some reason we have a conversation, that's cool. And then I run into them AGAIN at a different place, well that's fine. The universe is weird like that sometimes. Rarely, but it happens. It's just a coincidence. I run into you once, I run into you again. We have no friends in common, we have no activities together, there isn't a "reason" it should happen that we met twice without planning, but it happens sometimes.
Three times is conspiracy. If I run into that person again, I would think there's one of two things going on.
1) Apparently we do have something in common (if neither of us is trying to meet the other one) but we didn't know that and I would feel better if we figured it out now.
OR
2) One of us is following the other one. Maybe loosely, but this is not just some random happinstance. One of us is doing this to the other one. It might be welcome, or it might not. But it's not cool.
All I meant was that HE IS DOING THIS to you. Maybe he's not trying to be creepy, but he is. Maybe maybe maybe maybe. At this point, it's purposeful. He's not just accidentally lingering when he gives rides to people near your place. He's doing that for a reason.
He needs to knock it off. And he needs to hear it from a position of power and authority.
