I see a timeline in my head too. Like a rollercoaster track, kind of. And all sorts of things have colours. For me left is yellow. F major scale is pink, c major is orange. And various random other things. But right doesnt have a colour

I don't associate anything with colours, other than the colours themselves.

I think the only thing vaguely related and colour-attached is religion, but that is solely because that is so ingrained up here. And it's not like someone will say "Catholic" and then I see the word as green, or I don't see someone wearing green and assume they are Catholic.

i read an article recently that gave evidence that everyone is born with synestesia and that as people age the senses become more defined and seperate (in most cases but in some they remain linked). I think it was in psychological science towards the end of last year

I don't assosiate anything with colors though other than, well, colours

I think we established that you and I have the exact opposide odd/even pattern for days of the week, which makes me sad!

In colour-related news, definitely not for me. I can't even correctly assign colours to their names at times :p

No other sadness in the world would do

I do associate some things with colors, but they're not always definite. I would say that left is yellow and right is red, though.

I definitely categorize things into odd and even. One weird thing about that, it's kind of on a continuum, and I consider some even numbers odd and vice versa. Like the number 12 is odd, because it's a multiple of 3. Also, I like odd better than even.

I sort of "see" the "shape" of music in my mind, too. It's hard to explain. And I associate feelings with movement.

Only if I'm talking about the colour of something on the left or right. :P
I feel more sure about right than left, so I guess I associate a feeling with it.

Synaesthesia is interesting. A tutor I had claimed to have it, and took tests for it and stuff. Then retook them sometime later to double check, lol.

Where are all the qualified pilots/sailors on this site? Red is for port, green is for starboard - and don't anyone fly or sail without being clear about it!

This is unrelated but that ^ reminded me that I was told the word 'posh' stands for 'port out, starboard home.'

Another possibility for dissertation. Thank-you.

And no, I don't really associate colours like that, but I can see why/how people do.
