Biologicaly losing your virginity = penis inserted in vagina.

When you see yourself losing your virginity is an entirely different matter.

For example, I was raped and lost my "biological virginity", but don't see it as losing my virginity until much later when I "gave it away".

&& then buffy staked edward. the end.

a lot of people's hymens are tiny... other people's are too large and can cause seriously problems resulting in requiring operations... (I had a lecture on that area on friday lol)

in fact some people's hymens are so small that they don't get broken by sex and break during child birth!!!

though the biological and legal definition of virgin is different... the biological being the hymen and the legal being penetration on the males parts (sorry, I have some issues with certain sexually related words lol)

I lost my straight virginity when I was 15 (female/male sex) and lost my lesbian virginity when I was 18 (female/female sex) although technically lesbian sex doesn't count as losing your virginity I would say it does because it isn't sex in the conventional sense but it is still an act of love making

^^that's basically what I kind of meant by the state of mind thing. It still kind of counts, although it's not technical, or biological, as chels put it.

And lolzor to RYL pyjama party. That should blantently happen.

so.. if your hymen breaks whilst horse riding.. you can tell everyone you lost your virginity to a horse??

I would count losing your straight virginity as being when the penis is inside the vagina.

I just spat my tea out!

I thought you lost your virginity the first time you had penetrative sex...

I laughed out loud at that

I always thought it was when a penis entered the vagina. Penetration and all that.

I never really thought about it in terms of lesbian sex though. I'm not sure there.

Thank you for all of your help and support. I will no longer be coming to RYL. Semi-explanation will be inside my profile.

I have a different definition of virginity to the commonly accepted one, which is when I willingly had sex with someone.

To me rape doesn't count as it isn't about sex, it's an act of violence. I believe your virginity is something you can give up to someone, but it can't be forcibly taken away from you.

dont believe all you've read then i guess!

its when you have penetrative sex for the first time - but i'd add the word consentual in there too.

just stumbled upon this...

my thoughts are that it is a natural act that for some reason women seem to find difficult talking about. i dont know what it is, i have noticed we are able to speak more freely about having vibrators, which everyone knows is a masturbatory aid but talking about using our hands or fingers is not spoken about. as long as we are being open and honest as women, i discovered my electric toothbrush (with the head taken off obviously!) was a fantastic toy when i was about 12 or 13. i was given a rampant rabbit deluxe by my stepmother for my 17th birthday which served as my only sex toy until recently when we decided to buy a few toys for the bedroom. so far i have found they dont boost my sex life, we prefer it to be just us really, but they can be helpful for a quick fix. i also rarely cracked out the rabbit because after i lost my virginity i just felt no need to satisfy my own urges as i was having it done for me. it came out from underneath my bed when i was pregnant as my partner was icky about pregnant sex. then when i had her it disappeared again.

well, im not sure you all wanted to know that, i didnt really have anything to offer there - just showing my support for female masturbation i guess!

i saw that mand! i was most amused. but i bought a variety of things, all stuff i have never experienced. i chucked one of them out after we tried it as i hated it, there is a couple of things i havent tried yet - im quite looking forward to the under bed restraints. we have a sleigh bed, so no bed posts which means no proper tying up. should be interesting.

the rampant rabbit deluxe was alright. it doesnt vibrate fast enough now that its years old. but then its hardly been used as i was having sex before i had the rabbit so its never really been needed. well, it was needed for a while as jamie is the only bloke who has ever made me orgasm but since i met him when i was 17 and i got the rabbit for my 17th birthday it wasnt long before it was no longer needed.

i was looking at those tongues you can buy they look so funny! for a laugh i bought jamie a fake vag and babs the blow up beer babe - you stick a beer up her butt and drink it from her muff! classic!

I'd like to add the word consensual in there... mainly as I hate to think that mine was stolen... but I can't help but think that way... sort of glad to know that other think of it that way though :)
