ginny is NOTHING like i pictured her when i read the books.
i know she's been in all the movies but i think this (&the order of the pheonix i guess) are the books/movies where she becomes really an important character. i just wanted her to be so much more gutsy and fiesty & hot-headed & stuff, and ginny in the movie is so tame.

as a right harry potter geek, im always guna be gutted when they miss bits out, but over all a good film.
altough i dont think they realy made it clear about what was so important about harrys potions book.....

Bellatrix.
Bellatrix.
Bellatrix.
And I like Ginny xD
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I love Bellatrix! Helena Bonham Carter is so awesome! She did such a good job =]. All her evil-ness.

I liked it when after they killed dumbledore how she just completely wreaks the great hall and then sets the cottage on fire.
She is the reason I've always wanted to be a death eater. If wizards existed...?
Let's put a smile on that face
We are not alone
Find out when your cover's blown
There'll be somebody there to break your fall
We are not alone
'Cause when you cut down to the bone
We're really not so different after all

I really enjoyed that bit, it was like...with the fall of Dumbledore Hogwarts was no longer impenetrable; it was just as easily ruined as Dumbledore was. For me watching it...it was like the death of Hogwarts as we knew it being emphasised not only through Dumbledore's death but through physical destruction of the place we've grown to love and know.

OH MY GODD!!! I'M SOOOO MAD! THAT WAS HORRIBLE!!!! THEY MASSACRED THAT BOOK! ABSOLUTELY MASSACRED IT!!!
GOD DAMN IT!
THE MOVIE WAS GOOD, BUT IT WASN'T THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE!
Firstly, I was sooo looking forward to Tonks saving Harry, but no! It was LUNA! Seriously? I mean COME ON! And they didn't even get into trouble!
Then, of course Narcissa's hair? When did her hair go black with two blond strips? WTF???
The Harry/Ginny relationship building was crap! I mean, REALLY!? Plus I hated the beginning where Harry was like flirting with this girl instead of at the Dursleys' like he was supposed to be, thinking that Albus wasn't actually coming!
And what was with the fire at the Weasleys'? When did THAT happen in the book? Besides, it wasn't even the burrow!!! Though I did like the stairs effect that they did.
And the Tonks/Lupin relationship that didn't happen until the end of the book was thrust into the beginning? And they missed Fleur and Bill COMPLETELY!
The worst part I think would have to be the whole epic fight scene that didn't happen in the movie. I was upset that they didn't have several more Death Eaters there destroying the school. The reason that Harry wasn't supposed to drink ALL his Felix potion, so that he could give the rest to Ron, Hermione, and Ginny! UGH!
I am very very disappointed. Though they did succeed in revealing Regulus Black, they massacred my favourite Harry Potter book.
Without a light I fear that I will stumble in the dark,
lay right down,
decide not to go on.

Yes, it went from a sort of happy-funny movie to dark. I wish at the end though, ergh, that they had left it with a dead Dumbledore. Because like...the story stays dark up until the very very end.

YESSS! I really thought after the lifting of the wands thing or even after the empty great hall it was going to/should have cut. It seemed more fitting to end on that note.
I never read any of the books so I can't compare them but I have seen most of the films. I like how this film was more dark than the other ones. I think Tom Feltion & Helena Bonham Carter 's characters are both really sexy. Ha.
as a film it was good, better than some others BUT having read the book it was too different. too much of somke characters, some not even in it! WHAT!
its a bit bitsy for my liking but that just cause of the books.
Show me the skyline and I'll show you decadence,
a subtle reminder of hearts filled with loneliness,
give me your worst words and I'll bring the sticks and stones,
I'd hate to use them,
you can't shake it with broken bones...

All I can say is READ THE BOOKS. If you enjoyed how this film got darker you'll ****ing love how much darker they get in the books. Seriously, just read them, they're epic.
I have a few of the earlier books but I will get hold of them all. It will give me something to do in the holidays. I haven't read a gripping book in ages.
btw - slughorn - anyone think he wasnt quite right?
