I get scared of people breaking in too... I live in a flat and EVERY time I hear someone on the stairs or the wind through the extractor fan I get terrified...
I've been told to write a list, sort of like a rational list of reasions why people are unlikely to break in... not done it, but thought I'd suggest it to you in case you want to try. I'll proably do it eventually...
