pcos
Hi
I guess i am jsut feeling really down about this and feel i need a bit of support.
I have jsut been diagnosed as having polycystic ovary syndrome and have been told i may find it difficult to conceive as i rarely have periods.
I was just wondering if anyone else at ryl has this or knows any one who has and what has helped them.
Thanks for reading,
Shelley

Hey,
I don't have that or had any experience with irregular periods, though I'm really sorry to hear that. *hugs* xo.

I am another PCOS victim, i say victim because it ultimately has been a thing that has really destroyed my confidence. the symptoms that are most distressing for me are the ones regarding excess hair growth. i must of been the only 12 year old girl that had to get her face waxed, i still have to now but i was diagnosed at 11 as the symptoms set in very precosiously for me. maybe it would be cool if you could drop me a pm sometime and we can chat and share experiences and i know you probably have many questions at the moment, feel free to ask them!
hope to talk soon!

I have a friend who has PCOS and was told she'd never have kids. 5 years later she has 3 and they were all born without complications! I know she's on meds but i'm not sure what, and she finds exercising and eating healthy helps her, especially because she puts on weight easily (think this is related?). On the upside, now you've been diagnosed, they can start to help x

I have endometriosis and have been told the same thing :/
But I have known women who've had pcos and have still been able to conceive. There are also medications which a doctor can put you on to help you ovulate and conceive.
