i really wanted to make a posative thread here on RYL so here it is...
What is the most romantic thing thats ever happend to you?
my personal one is when my boyfriend (who'd told me he loved me the day befor) took my wrist and said i noticed these very quickly and kissed my scars.
i feel like i'm the luckest person ever, to have found sombody who knows me so completly and excepts both my good and bad parts.
i hope some others share amazing moments like this, for when life is dark its good the remeber those moments and that they do happen
my most romantic moment was when me and boyfriend walked along a canal,it seemed to last for ages,and we sat on a bench with his arms around me and my head in his lap and we looked up at the stars and he fiddled with my hair. When it turned really cold, he put his coat around me and kisses me on the forehead and we just sat there together talking and just looking at the trees and stars.

my boyfriend writes me poems in the cards he gives me, which is so nice plus he buys me sweets when i feel sad

The most romantic thing that happend to me was when i went out drinking with friends i ended up laying on the grass next to a stream in his arms watching the stars and he sat there playing with my scars..
I dont think its the most romantic thing but to me i kinda was... i have never had anything romantic happen.
My best friend took me to Paris.
He booked everything, booked the time off work for me, even packed my case and took it to his house. and then we had a conversation that went:
him: do you still want to go to Paris?
me: Yeah, some day.
him: We'll go then.
me: When?
him: In about 6 hours.
me: WTFOMGBBQ
I think one of my most romantic moments has been when my bf's mum didn't want anyone at their house and he didn't want me to go so he got some blankets and we laid under the stars and he was holding me. It was really quite a perfect night.

The Doctor
I was with my girlfriend. We had just made love for the first time and she fell asleep in my arms. She looked so peaceful and I just watched her sleep.
At the beach or park under the moonlit sky with a nice blanket and
a very good meal,with either "Yanni " or "Enya " playing in the background
our hands intertwined him/her telling me they love me for who i am and not my past...and that no matter what happens they will love me till they die.
Or
out in complet night only to have very little light from the moon and stars
with a blanket and candles near a natural hot spring or hot tub with roses floating in the water with the fresh scent of lavander and jasmine and with hot chocolate on a winters night in a hot tub or hot spring spending the night talking and holding hands and kissing and just enjoying the winter night in the hot tub or spring..
maybe the time when me and my now ex-girlfriend got some chocolate and strawberries & sat in my garden eating them. and the time we slept in one sleeping bag in a field with no tent. just in a field. crazy. but she looked after me :)
My boyfriend is quite romantic i think. He does lots of little things for me which shows he cares. He is very good at cheering me up. I loved our first Christmas together, he wrote me a very meaningful card which made me smile from ear to ear. We tell each other we love each other every day, even now that we are living together. It's just really nice to be appreciated :)

When he told me how beautiful and right my name sounded with his last name. He now call's me Mrs. (insert his last name here), even though we aren't technically engaged....we've picked out the ring though :p
I'm really the romantic in my relationship...but its gotta be when my fiance saved up all of his spare money and conquered his fear of flying, spending 9 hours on a plane just to spend a week with me (when we'd never even met before)
You know, I have to agree that for me the most romantic thing that anyone has done for me is to kiss my scars. I just cannot get over that... It means SO much to me.
AND, definitely when my ex fiance moved out to Oregon to be with me! That's four states away from Iowa, where we're from. That was the best time ever, when he was here with me. xxxx
My then boyfriend took me out of a party into the freezing cold of a back garden and we just lay on a HUGE trampoline and kissed under the stars. He even gave me his hoodie because I was freezing and was shivering the whole night afterwards :)

I agree with you and the others.
My ex had stroked and kissed my scars and said they were beautiful like me.
I hated it at the time, but its a good memory now x
