I was like you when I was in highschool.. dead set on acting, getting my name known, being a star, being on TV, and I went into do drama, hoping I'd progress onto a further stage, and I spoke to my Mother about it, and she told me the exact same thing I'm about to tell you:
Being in the acting industry is a very, very risky. You NEED something else to fall back on, because acting isn't a very promising career. I mean sure you get your well known actors and actresses, and all the teenagers want to be in their shoes (even I have myself), but it certainly didn't come easy unless their family were well known actors(ress). And sometimes even they aren't lucky enough to get parts in a film/show, which leaves them where? No job, hanging around searching everywhere to make money. And lets face it, how many people do you personally know that is a well known actor or actress?
I think we've all had the dream of wanting to become an actor(ress) when we grow up, but at the end of the day, not many people actually succeed as I'm sure you know it's very competitive and they only pick the best.
Going by your profile, you're 16 years old. You're still a teenager and undecided about what to do. But it is NOT too late to change careers. I mean I'm 19 now, and I've only recently changed my career and plan to start College on a completely different course.
What I'm trying to say is, pick the thing that means the most to you, and would quite possibly get you somewhere in the future, and tbh, I think your dancing career would be a much more suitable choice for you.
