Scars and Injection Nurse *may trigger?*

Hi guys!
I'm new to this website so am not exactly sure how it all works, but here goes!

About a month and a half ago we had injections done at school-one class at a time, 4 people being treated at a time. The nurses come in from outside of the school.
I had a few old scars, which the nurse pointed out and asked if they were old/had I gotten help for it-which I had (well support from my mum).
One person pointed them out to me but that was about it.

Since then, I have unfortunately relapsed but I am much better now and back on the road to recovery
Although, we got a letter on friday saying we're having more injections this thursday. Obviously I have relatively new scars.

Will the nurse pick up on the fact that they're kind of new?
Is she obliged to tell anyone if they're only scars?

The school never found out about my SH, only my mum. I don't want anything to be said because I really am getting better, I went 8 months SH free before my relapse.
I'm so worried

Thanks for any replies :)

Hi,

Sorry to hear you relapsed. Glad you're back on the road to recovery.

She might notice them it depends on how obvious they are/how observant she is. How would you feel if she did notice them and made a comment?

As far as I'm aware unless she thinks you're a risk to yourself or others she won't tell anyone but if she is worried about your welfare then it is her job to make the appropriate people aware.

Could you talk to your mum about how you feel about the nurse/your worries about the next load of injections?

8 months is amazing. Well done for going so long without doing anything.

I hope this helps :)

I will love myself despite the ease with which I lean toward the opposite.

Thank you for replying :)
I haven't spoken to my mum about my SH since around 2 years ago, she'd thought I'd stopped completely-which I had for around 3 months, then I relapsed and so on.

I personally wouldn't say they're really obvious, but then I see them everday so they may not seem as bad to me.

I think if she noticed them or commented on them I wouldn't mind, and I'll tell her the truth about it all.

I worry that it'll be brought up again etc. because I feel like I'm doing good recovering by myself, and the times in which I relapse are few and far between.

Again, thanks for replying and sorry for replying so late

~But my lovely, you're not a failure. Tomorrow is always another chance. You must pick yourself up, and keep moving forward~
