Will Anyone Be Watching Monaco Grand Prix?

I'm trying to get into Formula One racing, and I will be watching the race Sunday. I have so many TV channels I only just realised I got a lot of racie coverage from around the world. I mainly got interested after watching a documentary about Ayrton Senna, the Brazillian racing legend who died in 1994.

I see British driver Lewis Hamilton is leading in the standings so I thought maybe more people here would be watching the race in Monaco. Over my way we have NASCAR and Indycar but I can't get into watching cars go around a track so I failed at being a fan of those. I guess the curiosity this year is the new engine design that makes the cars quieter - too quiet according to quite a few people. Reading around I was surprised to learn Schumacher has been in a coma for over 100 days (ski accident).

Monaco is one of the more interesting courses to watch, as it goes through the city itself.
I learned about "the tunnel" yesterday and will be looking for it. I watched about 6 hours of racing programming while I reinstalled Windows. Seems a lot of drivers have a love/ hate attitude towards Monaco track. They know its dangerous but appreciate the challenge.

I watch Tour de France most years but I'm weary of the doping issues. I like that motor racing doesn't have that problem (that I know of lol). I forgot the Indianapolis 500 is tomorrow as well. I usually only watch the last 15 minutes of that if anything.

If you haven't seen the Senna documentary you might want to watch it if you like racing a bit. The doc has a major philosophical focus and isn't all motorhead stuff.

That was fun - I watched the whole thing. I suppose there's not much shocking about the race leaders at the start being the leaders at the end. Seems like a hard rice to jump position in. Listening to announcers it seemed there was a bit more care trouble due to new system (which kind of mystifies me a bit since it seems contradictory to build a high performance car and limit it fuel wise). I suppose the rivalry between Hamilton and Rosberg is real. I am sued to seeing such things hyped up to draw interest/viewers etc.

I was in Monaco for the GP last year - it was epic. I walked the track and then partied on the track because they turn it into a massive outdoor pub at night time (Y)

More than a little fruity...

Monaco looks exclusive and not really the kind of place where people can just walk around looking for parties. You must have known someone - or maybe you mentioned belonging to the highly selective RYL club!
