This was seriously hard to do, way harder than I thought but...

I finally broke down and told my best friend that I was cutting. She wasn't necessarily supportive, but she wasn't mean either. So I guess it's a start.

At least someone knows.

I also made an appointment with a doctors office to try to get a regular doctor again and talk about getting on meds or counseling or whatever it is that I need.
The appointment is sometime in September.

Well done - you are so brave, I'm really glad you were able to reach out. Maybe your friend didn't know how to react as it can be difficult for people to get their head around. But hopefully, she will be more supportive and at least you don't have to hide it from her anymore. I hope you get sorted with a doctor and get some support and treatment.

Please be honest with the doctor when you go, don't forget how much help they can try to get for you. Things can get better.

I agree with what both the other posters have said; I hope you can really make the most out of the appointment with the doctor and get access to some helpful treatment.

Hopefully once your friend has gotten her head around it,she might be a little more supportive.
