A ? found relief from substance abuse

so I've been dealing with an rx addiction benzo's and opiates for about 10 years the last year I turned into an alcoholic. It's been 10 years of hell loosing everything and major consequences. Now I've decided to get a handle on my mental health I've started lithium and Cymbalta over a month ago. So far I have not (yet) had any thought of beer or my pills no desire no nothing like I've been thru the past years. I have 42 days sober but its like the medicine i'm taking has erased that whole addictive frenzy from my mind.
Has anyone else in recovery ever experienced this? i'm stoked but also very cautious because I've learned to not take sobriety lightly..

So the last time you take these medications was last year which is 2013.

Can I just ask if how are you now? How's you're recovery this year? :)
