And the new Doctor is...
It's just been announced live on BBC1 that Peter Capaldi is the new doctor!

Personally I am over the moon. Capaldi is going to bring some real substance back to the show. I stopped watching the Matt Smith Doctor Who because he just irritated me, he was petulant and quirky in that way that's predictable and superficial. I think Capaldi is going to be outstanding, even if the plotlines of the show are not what they used to be. I'll still be watching this new doctor while he's here :D (also I just wish they'd let Capaldi swear... he's so good at it it's such a waste haha)

I think he will be ace! Such a cool guy, I also like that he's older. Has anyone seen the Malcolm Tucker is Dr Who clip? I'd link it but the language is obviously shocking! (It's hilarious.)

i'd have thought they would ignore it. it's not unheard of for actors to play more than one role in a career after all...

I watched it live from the internet (screw you finland) and have to say I'm very excited from this. I loved him on Torchwood so looking forward on seeing him as The Doctor :)

A lot of people have been referring to him as 'the new doctor who'. That irritates me. Also I heard the last season was wank so I haven't watched it. Was it?
