(First of all I am not sure whether this is the best place for this, so mods feel free to move it).
That I SIed.
She reacted the same way that she did, and treated me no different despite what I just said. I was scared that she would think I am a freak or something. She said that she wouldnt tell anyone else. She is called me brave and a survivor. She said that she did wonder about my scars, but knew that one day I would tell one day. She also said that she didnt know or even guess that because of my scars I was an SIer.
So as you can tell I am pleased. I did the butterfly project the other day, and told her about it, and again she was pleased that I didnt SI..
I also told her about the fact I havent done it for a long time (17 months and 8 days), and she said that it was brilliant, and that I should keep up the progress!
So I thought I would tell you about this.

Sounds like you've got a real good friend there (: it's good that you managed to share it with her, I'm glad it hasn't affected your relationship. Also well done on the 17 months free, that's awesome.

My goal is to reach 18 months, and then if I reach that, then no SI during 2012. I am less than a month away from 18 months and it's not much more til the end of the year. I am so determined, hence why I did the butterfly project the other day rather than SIing.

Super congrats on the over 17 months - that's over a year!!! You should be very proud of yourself! Your friend is clearly right that you are brave, and I also believe that you have the strength to overcome this.

Wow, 17 months, just wow. Well done! I'm so proud of you for coming so far :) And managing to tell your friend and put your trust in her is great.
Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.
Thanks everyone. I am now up to 17 months and 15 days (though saying that there's less than an hour to go until the 16th day).
I did frighten her the other day by telling her I felt like SIing, so she thought I was extremely low (ie suicidal), and was ok when I was told her I wasnt low, just having a temporarily blip.
