The last three years have been a wild ride. I was given the chance to see this website from several different perspectives. And It gave me my first taste of how to interact with people on the internet. I couldn't have done this without the help of many of you. In the last few weeks I have found myself drifting to new hobbies and actives. I just picked my uni and the course I am going to be studying.
This website is about recovery and I can honestly that It works if you use it well. I came to ryl as a person who self harmed often and I am drifting away from it as a person who is free from Self harm. In late july I will be 2 full years free. My mind is starting to fuse its shatters into a whole mirror; while it might not be perfect, it is better off then when I started.
When I joined RYL I was a shy awkward teenager who knew nothing about girls. RYL has taught me everything I want to know and more. (How many times do you need to discuss your period and your bra?) I want to talk you for helping me see that I do have a chance of positive interactions with girls.
During my time here I have come to know many people who have had a large influence on my life: Spork., Morrigan, random.swirls, duffer44, healingraine, aquatickitten, caru y nos, Sooty, Aimee in Wonderland, griddlebone, Amaryllis, Urethra Franklin, DaveIAm, squirrelspit, cakey, -Choley, Isoverity, Rawrk, Stop! Hammer Time, And all the rest of you chat regulars, chat moddlets and CT peeps who I forgot. Thank you for being part of my life.
I know that there is one day soon where I will stop posing on the forums and another day that I will stop drifting into chat on a regular basis.
I will miss you and I bit you all farewell

Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

Theres not many words to say, apart from thank you for being a wonderful chat mod, you did an excellent job and that is already being missed. I think you have the essence of RYL right, you came, it helped you recover and now you're leaving....well done for being able to rid yourself of the addiction lol :P
I am very proud of you from a personal level, I know you are going to do brilliantly at uni, just remember to keep your head up and you'll be fine. If you ever need us we will be here for you :)
Good luck Tom and in the words of Doctor Seuss:
You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!"

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
It's been great knowing you. You're a wonderful guy, and it never fails to amaze me how intelligent and expressive you are, and - although this may sound a bit geeky! - I always really enjoy reading your posts and seeing you around. I've no doubt you're going to do wonderful things in your life.
And something a little different for you -

Good luck with uni (not that you'll need it!!!)
Sometimes it is easier to hide where noone knows who you are.
