I am currently:
SI Question - cutting, bad pains.

Ok so for the last few weeks I haven't cut, my girlfriend said she didn't like me doing it and I was trying really hard not to. Anyway last night I couldn't help it, and I was running around my room, looking for my blade, it wasn't where is was supposed to be and I was shaking, I was freaking out so bad... then I found one, my old one, it was quite rusty, but at the time I couldn't care less, i did wash it a bit though.. anyway, I cut somewhere new, I cut my stomach. the cut feels normal, but directly on the same spot but on my back its really sore, like it hurts to move that part, like the muscle is sore... I thought I had just pulled a muscle, but it only started hurting this morning, and i haven't been doing anything lately too pull a muscle, the cuts were quite red when It happened but have now gone to normal looking cuts... is this normal? are they related or have i just perhaps accidently pulled a muscle or something without realizing it?

The fact it was red last night and doesn't look like that is normal; it's because when you first cut the redness, due to increased bloodflow, is often at it's highest when the cut/ injury/ whatever first happened so that's normal.

Have you got any pain around the cut that feels like the same ain in your back but possibly even worse? Did you cut into the fat layer (yellow and bubbly) or past that (if you're unsure and want to go into further details about what the inside of the cut looked like or whatever then PM me or another team member)? Did you sleep in a funny position last night or any chance of it or maybe was in a sustained position for a while yesterday or just twisted yourself as you got up? Sometimes things like that don't show up until the next day but to be honest, at the moment, unless it cut into your muscle layer (at which case I'm pretty sure you'd know about it by now) then I'm not really seeing a connection (except for the fact sometimes it can be difficult and pain in the abdomen feels like it's back pain but this usually doesn't involve the skin).

I'd go and get checked out at the hospital ASAP so that they can give you an anti-tetanus jab. They're also likely to want to see your cut too and it is best really for you to tell them the truth. But yep, I'd definitely advise to get that jab and you really do need it as soon as you possibly can so go to A&E/ ER and they'll sort it out. You can also mention to them about the cut and back pain. Tetanus can kill so it is worth it, even if your boosters are up to date as this is a chemical that binds to tetanus molecules in your body and stops them from working and therefore reduces the chances of developing tetanus. This is not a vaccine in itself though and if you're not vaccinated against it then I suggest you start vaccinations for it in a few weeks time (if you live in the UK you should've had 5 tetanus vaccines when you were young up until leaving secondary school so if you are then that is now thought to cover you for life) however, elsewhere the policy is different and even if you are it's not worth taking the risk as they your cover against it may not be as high as what it should be and as well as that you could've challenged your immune system too much for it to be really effective.

I'd also throw that blade away. I know it's likely to be hard if that's the only one you have but it is much better to get fresh and therefore clean ones and then the chances of things like tetanus and other infections are much reduced.
