My friend has it. I'm sure they won't laugh at you, it's a serious thing. Maybe write out some of the reasons why you think you might have it and bring it to the doctor? You could print off something from the site as well maybe. You deserve help as much as anyone.

Hi nuttergurl

I'm confused - do you think that you have COE because you are overweight, or are there other factors as well? If your weight is the only issue, then I do doubt that it is COE - although in both cases, it could be worth talking to your doctor.

As for COE, well, it's a perfectly real illness, and one that doctors have come across before. Speaking to them isn't as scary as it could perhaps seem - trust me on this. Any doctor worth their salt will recognise COE and try to help you accordingly.

Take care, and best of luck.

Hi 'nuttergurl',

It sounds like you're pretty confused at the moment.
As Jo asked, is it that you think you have COE because you're overweight..? Or are there other things too?

As 'nikaroo' said, perhaps you should write off a list of why you think you might have COE and perhaps use the website to help..

I really hope that you don't have COE, it sounds horrible.
We'll be here to support you all the way if you do though.

Take care of yourself & keep us updated =]

Ride it out.

Hey. You can be overweight and have bulimia... being overweight doesnt necessary mean you have COE.

However, if you feel that your attitudes towards eating, eg, you comfort-eat alot, o find it becoming a problem, talk to your doctor about maybe some councilling to help with the feelings that may make you et more and a diet plan?
xxxx

I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.
