I've been doing a weight-loss program and next week my membership is going to run out. I've reached my first goal weight (!!!!!!) and have a bit to go until I get to a healthy weight.
Rather then spend more money on this weight loss program, which provides me with food for five out of seven days, I have decided to now go on my own to lose the remaining amount of weight.
I know the skills and I have support from my parents, it's been a long long time since I've binged (COED) and I'm confident in my skills not to do that again, but I wondered how you guys keep on-track with your goals (be it weight loss or gain).
I don't have anyone to report to weekly now, and I suppose I could talk to my mother/dad, but any other words of advice/encouragement are very much appreciated! I'd love to be able to post on here but not sure that's be smiled upon either.
Basically, encouragement and support appreciated.

Aimee, you can report to me.. i shall give you gold stars.
i guess, if youve been doing the program, youre most of the way there because your body has gotten used to the healthy eating/portion control etc.
maybe you could make a private journal here and just add like, the people that are your friends as being able to see it, then i think you'll be able to mention numbers etc.
we are all here for you, your doing great, i am so proud of you.
i think the journal idea would be a good idea.
“Never lose faith in yourself,
and never lose hope;
remember, even when this world throws its worst and then turns its back,
there is still always hope.”
Ooooh, all very very good ideas. I love to write so Em that's a great one, thankyou, and Charlieface that's also a good idea. I suppose I don't need to mention numbers anyway but i could do that in my lj if i felt the need.
Thanks guys, your encouragement means lots to me :D

Well, I was doing Jenny Craig, and they have their own food they give you and then as you lose weight you start doing some days of your own food and yeah, it was good but costly.
My darling... you can post with meeeee!!!!!!! I'm not doing anything in particular... but I lost weight anyways! I'll support you!
You could also do Tony Ferguson? My little sister loves it and has lost 12 kgs! She's almost at her goal weight too! ANd you have suppor through that too! I don't think it's as pricey as Jenny Craig either! *nods*
One thing you could do is, every time you cook, make extra and freeze is straight away with a one person portion. That way if there is a day that you are just too tired or whatnot to cook, you can just take it out of the freezer and heat it up!
*cuddles* love you!
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
yes, I'm going to go the freezing food route, when i start making food i can do that with heh.
I don't like Tony Ferguson, that's diet shakes isn't it? I'd die without real food, and it would be sustainable for me in the long term. There is Weight Watches which is cheaper but, I'm going to try it on my own, if things go pear-shaped I will look into it.
Hey Aimee!
Just wanted to say a huge well done, you're doing fantastically hon!
I noticed you posted a Reward Thread in the Moving Forward Forum. Do you think that would help you i.e to have maybe a weekly reward if you'd done well one week or something like that. Just like the ED Forum'ers have a challenge each week you could have a challenge each week. It could be small at first and then get bigger as you get more confident and then everytime you meet the challenge you could give yourself a reward.
And I also think if you want to post here you should Aimee but it's completely up to you.
*squishes*
Good luck!
You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you wish to make.
Seems like you've gotten a lot of good advice already! One thing you could do would be to make very specific, measurable weekly goals, and to write them down somewhere (whether on here, a journal, a post-it note by your bed, wherever). It doesn't have to be pounds lost (although it could), you could even make goals to eat every few hours or to exercise for a certain length of time this week. And DEFINITELY reward yourself for meeting those goals. It doesn't have to be anything big. Do you know of anyone else who is looking to lose weight? If so, having that little bit of support can be really helpful.
