hey guys I know other folks have done threads similar
but I was just wondering what was the first gig you ever went to ,who was it ,who were you with ,where was it ,how old were you and all the info ...be good fun all and most importantly DID IT ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok Im goanna post first bien sur he he
I went to The Cure when I was 15 ,barely allowed to go but I went to The Point in Dublin as it was called then ,now its called ,just recently ,The 02
I went on the train with four of my mates and loads of spaced out Cure heads and believe it or not we were served alcohol ha ha
it had to have been the white face paint ,blood red lips and freaky eye look ha ha
It as the best night EVER honestly ,they played ...just like heaven as an encore ..I nearly cried and they were amazing ...bit of a crowd rush at the beginning but we got over it ,was fantastic ..still remember it now.
PANIC AT THE DISCO =))
I hate them now though - their first album = sick!!!!! (sorry that word is seriously stuck in my head!)
It was amazing - I was 14 and with my friend..... In brixton so wasn't really allowed to go but booked it on my debit card and when they arrived there wasnt much my parents could do...
naughty - i would never do that now!
The set was good.... as in the stage!
Their set was also good - amazing in fact.
oh and the support act was The Sounds - AMAZING....
so yes =)
As a little kid you believed in fairytales,
that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress; prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You closed your eyes and had complete and utter faith.
Eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairytale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith,
that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.
my first gig was the X factor concert in nottingham.
I went with mum and we did have a good time I was i think 13/14. I remember Brenda was ill and i laughed my head off coz i hated her lol. My favourite act was Jounrey South. Lets just say i was that busy trying to get photos mum couldn't see a thing oops. Shayne was amazing. He told everyone to turn there phone lights on and the room suddenly the lights in the arena went down and it was just surrounded by flashing coloured lights from glow sticks and light up toys and mobile lights while somewhere over the rainbow was sung. Chico was amazing and funny as he was back then. and Andy Abraham was brilliant.
The only problem was getting back home we got lost and missed the first bus by 2 mins the next didn't show up by then it was 11:30pm and I was absolutely shattered. Overall though it was a great night and i wont forget it in a hurry.
lucky!!
my first concert was red hot chili peppers...i hate them, but it was my best friends birthday and they were quite good live :)
i'm going to see green day soon :D
Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you land among the stars
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
Linkin Park back in 2002 was my first. I was 14, I think? It was awesome and a little terrifying (though I think everyone's first time in a mosh pit is, haha)
Evanescence. I think it was at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. I was about 14.
OMG SAME!!
There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
All Saints when I was about 13 with my family :) Birmingham NEC and they did the song booty call and came down from the ceiling in red phone boxes :P x
