cant change the thread title

i cant delete the word major from the thread title of the thread the shattered life in the creative writing board... help?

At the bottom right of your first post, you should be able to click the edit button. Once the little edit dropdown opens, you should be able to click "Go Advanced" and it will take you to the edit post page (not just a box dropdown).

There should be an option to change it in the advanced editing page. I just tried with a thread I started and saw it. It just doesn't show up when you do the quick edit, you have to go into the full edit post page.

If you can't get that to work, you can always report the post (bottom left) and write down in your report what you want to change the title to, and a mod should be able to edit it for you. It just might take a few days for that to occur.

So, when a thread gets old* you can no longer change the title properly- it will change the title that appears within the first post but not the actual title. I noticed that that is what had happened for you so I've just changed the actual title for you.

*I feel like we must have researched exactly how old a thread has to be before this happens at some point but I don't remember :(
