I've been thinking about getting a piercing on the top corner of my ear. I don't know what it's called...

I have my both ears pierced on the lobe, and I had mine done with a piercing gun, but it turned out alright.

The only bad thing was that skin grew over the back of my earring. I had been trying to take the earring off and couldn't get it off, but finally I managed to pull the front part off, and then I realized the backing didn't come off either so I used a mirror and saw the skin almost completely over my earring backing, like you could only see the two little bumps.

Do you feel like a man when you push her around?
Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground?
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end
as your lies crumble down, a new life she has found.

^^ Its called a helix piercing :)

How long ago did you get your lobes pierced? (BTW NEVER get pierced with a gun!! Im sure Jane has a link here to explain why...)

You should go back to your piercer (assuming it wasnt claires or a place in the mall) and seek their advice. A doctor could help you too.

Studs used in piercing guns are a standard 'one size fits all' type. They are usually to short to accomodate for any swelling and too tight. This could have caused the skin to grow over the back.

Ps. Butterfly backs are bad as they easily trap dirt and bacteria which lead to infection.

Hopefully you will be able to get this problem sorted.
Keep us updated!

Does anyone use bioplast jewellery? I have a weeny tragus and want to change the jewellery to a small stud or similar and was wondering whether the bioplast labret jewellery will be suitable as they do much smaller size attachments etc.

I want to get my rook pierced, any horror stories? Is it really painful? I already have my tragus, 7 cartilidge, my navel and four lobes done.

^^ Id say go for it. A nice quick piercing. Youll find it fine with all of the cartilage piercings youve had.

It might be a little achey for the first few days (as usual) but ibuprofen will help that.

I love my rook piercing but it was damn painful, I nearly passed out.
But then, I do have an incredibly low pain threshold and had never experienced cartilage piercings at all. So you'll probably be fine with it! And they're pretty =]

and would you get it done with a CBR or a curved or straight barbell?

I got mine with a curved barbell. I could've had a ring but I needed something easier to hide. It was quite easy to look after with a curved bar, not sure if it'd be the same with a straight one.
As for rook or daith, the daith has to be a certain size to be pierced. I know mine was too small, so you might want to find that one out before you choose.

I'm trying to change the balls on my nipple bar to smaller ones, but I can only get one of them off! It's so annoying!

Definatly with a barbell - they tend to heal better as they dont move as much. Also, when you sleep, rings tend to lie funny against the piercing which can lead to a bump..

Sounds wierd but if you post a pic of your ear here (lol!), we could tell you which would be prettier. :)

Kuwairo have you tried a pair of laytex gloves? Theyre so handy for removing fiddly little ends..

My rook percing was fairly painless and an easy healer. I got it pierced with a curved barbell

Generally curved barbells are better with ear piercings expecially compared to rings.

As above rubber gloves are the best, do you know if both ends unscrew? i know with some jewellery only one end comes off

I personally think a rook would suit your anatomy more. :)

do not rotate the jewellery at all, it will damage your piercings
