Triggering (SI) - i'm.....

this poem was inspired by wendy french who is a great poet and a really nice lady. I met her when i was staying at the bethlem and she helped me express myself through poetry.


I am the magician’s assistant who cuts herself in half,
I am the blade in which i cut through
I am the blood running down an arm
I am the arm in which secrets are kept
I am the secret of self harm never to be told
I am the self harm which keeps people alive
I am despair which drove people to do this
I am me and I self harm.

Happiness
I am that girl who is always laughing
I am the laugh that is infectious
I am the laughter running through the wind
I am the little girl who giggles at the slightest thing
I am the teddy bear making her happy
I am the happiness that spreads across the world.
Christmas
I am the snow covering the ground,
I am ground looking pretty in white,
I am the person leaving footprints behind me,
I am the footprints people follow,
I am the person being careful not to slip,
I am the child making a snowman,
I am the gloves that protect my hands,
I am the sparkling lights coming from inside people’s houses,
I am the tree holding presents ready to be opened,
I am the baubles brightening up the room in different colours,
I am December 25th,
I am Christmas day.
