iPhone 4 call failed

Hey,
I just wandered if anyone has experienced the dreaded words of 'Call Failed'. I did an update the other day and now everytime I try to ring anyone it says call failed. The worse part is the person on the other end sometimes get a missed call, so you don't know how many times you have got through.

If any of you have this problem What did you guys do? I have had my iPhone for nearly 2 years on the same network so I don't think it's a network problem as they have said everything is fine on there end?

Help!!
Thanks

I get it on my 3gs sometimes
If I try calling again straight after (might need to try a couple of times) it usually works eventually
I think iPhones just like to be annoying and temperamental sometimes ¬_¬

Have you turned your phone on or off?

Yeah it is :/ God this is so frustrating! Thanks for replying :). Hopefully Apple will release a new update to sort this out.

Take it to the Apple store, their customer service is really good, I know somebody who took theirs in and got a new phone, practically no questions asked.
I have a 4 and haven't had any problems with the update, so I guess it's just certain ones?

There customer service is really rubbish when the 1 year guarantee finishes grr. And then they charge a fortune to fix the problem.

Went to Vodafone today there claim is 'could be the sim or could be the phone'. We will give u a new sim but it's probably your iPhone as its very old now!!

I was like whaaat it's not even two years old. Grr. DON'T GET THE UPDATE!!!

I and loads of my friends have the update with no problems.
I know one of my mates just took in their 4 and it was out of the year guarantee and they just said they kept getting signal gate problems and they switched it without checking it! (He said that but really he had a scratch on the screen and didn't want to pay to get it repaired...Sly!)

Maybe give it a try. Before I got my new one, my old white MacBook had cracks all over it's casing like where your wrists go and it was 4 year old at this point and Apple replaced the whole casing for nothing.

My screen cracked on my iPhone last year (I was silly and dropped it) and it was still in the warranty and everything and I phoned Apple. They didn't even ask if I'd dropped it or anything, just wanted to charge me more than the price of a new iPhone to fix it.
I don't rate their customer service at all :/
But I guess different people have different experiences with it

True, it's the same with anything really I guess, good and bad depending on the person you deal with etc.
I suppose it won't hurt to give it a go.
But to be honest the only way to go back to an older iOS is jail breaking as far as I'm aware. Which is illegal and therefore I shaln't condone it.
I don't know why people do it anyway, the interface is SO PRETTY :D

Doing a full restore might work but I'd never risk that because it wipes everything :/

Surely a full restore wouldn't work though because when you re-sync all your stuff after returning it to factory settings the backup of your phone would have 5.1.1 OS on?

Helpful advice. Much wiser words would be "Don't buy an HTC, shy away from Blackberries and don't get anything running Android unless it's high spec."
