Can't wait for this film! I know it probably won't be as amazing as the LOTR films, but it still looks fantastic. :D

Looks pretty good. 2012 will be a good year for cinema.

It's about time! I've been waiting for this film for so long that I was beginning to think it'd never be made. I can't wait.

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: 'This glass is half full'. And then there are those who say: 'This glass is half empty'.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: 'What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Terry Pratchett

I know, right. I think it's because they need to rope in people who have not read the books and have only seen the films, and they recognise both Gandalf and Galadriel.

But there would still be Gandalf.

Yeah, they are also bringing Frodo in at the end apparently, to tie the two stories together for those who are ignorant of the texts.

I re-read the book last week to get in the mood. I seriously can't wait. For the last few years I've only gone to the cinema if there's a film I'm excited about (the last two movies I've seen were Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), and I don't think I've been this excited about a film since Deathly Hallows Part 2.

I am so excited to see it I can't wait. I know it isn't going to be as awesome as LOTR but still it will be awesome and I want to see it right now lol.

I usually hate going to the movies and only ever go when a new harry potter movie comes out and when the lord of the rings came out but other than those movies I never went much. I am defiantly going to see this one in the theater though.

I woke up into a nightmare.”

I read an article awhile back, they put Galadriel in the movie(s) and some other female characters because there are no female characters in The Hobbit.

Every day the world is made a chance to change but i feel the same.
And I wonder why would i wait till i die to come alive?"
All alone the way she feels
Left alone to deal with all the pain-drenched sorrow relief

Are there really? I guess it's been a long time since I've read the hobbit.

But srsly, it's the hobbit. The one with the mysterious gandalf. All other characters are just extras.

I think for me it will be more so (s'long as it's true-ish to the book) because I read all of the books when I was really young so I enjoyed reading the Hobbit more.

It's on the same par as Arwen taking Glorfindel's place, more attractive women, ropes in other people.

I can see why they do it, but y'know.
