Thanks Kiran. Am out of hospital at the moment and have got an appointment with the fancy consultant who specialises in difficult asthma tomorrow.
Today I am proud that I made a lot of medical phonecalls to co-ordinate my care and advocate for myself.
Including getting my neuro OT to write a letter to help me explain FND and adjustments I might require in the hospital environment. She is going to put stuff in my notes too but as not everyone looks at notes in an acute admission for a condition other than the one you have been admitted for, it's good to have something physical to handover. Partner has being doing his best to explain my needs as my carer and some have listened but something from a medical professional should help reinforce what he is saying or allow me to handover an explanation.
