I love comic books and graphic novels so I was wondering if anyone on here share the same interest as me?
Right now I'm reading fables and I just bought all the sin city books. Can't wait to read them. :)
So does anyone else read comic books/graphic novels? If so, which are your favorites and what can you recommend?

Hm, well I'm rather boring and really only read manga and such. I have read some good 'normal' graphic novels, though. I suppose my favourites would be From Hell and the Maus ones were good. In terms of manga I'm a geek for things with vampires and ghosts and.. um.. most manga. I like Ghost Hunt a lot, and Vampire Doll, because the idea of that one is quite entertaining. I've not really read any straight up comic books, though, as I'm never sure if they're any good. Any suggestions?
OH
Um
There's this one.. thing.. not exactly manga.. but.
Read it.
It's called Death: At Death's Door (or something like that.. it's downstairs.)
And it's about Death, who is a goth girl. And her family.
I think it's loosely based off of the Sandman ones?

Reason: addition
The acclaimed Vertigo series from writer Warren Ellis (PLANETARY and THE AUTHORITY) and artist Darick Robertson, TRANSMETROPOLITAN combines black humor, life-threatening situations, and moral ambiguity to look into the gonzo mind of an outlaw journalist and the world he seeks to destroy.
After years of self-imposed exile from a civilizationrife with degradation and indecency, cynical journalist Spider Jerusalem is forced to return to a job he hates and a city he loathes. Working as an investigative reporter for the newspaper The Word, Spider attacks the injustices of his surreal 23rd Century surroundings. Spider ventures into the dangerous Angels 8 district, home of the Transients —humans who have decided to become aliens through cosmetic surgery. But Spider's interview with the Transients' leader gets him a scoop he didn't bargain for.

The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman
The Walking Dead series by Robert Kirkman
Battle Pope by Robert Kirkman
Persepolis by Marjane Strapi (and the movie was good, too!)
Right now I'm getting into the Lucifer graphic novels (spin off from the Sandman series)
Oh, I've been thinking about starting to collect Lucifer recently. I haven't read sandman yet but I gave my boyfriend some of them.
I just finished reading New X-men recently by Grant Morrison. I loved them and can definitely recommend them. I have also read the whole Ultimate X-men series. I do like X-men but it's a bit difficult to find out where to start. I'd recommend anything by Grant Morrison really, from the things I have read by him, I do like him. :)
Claire, have you read V for vendetta by Alan Moore? If not, you definitely should, it's amazing. Far better than than movie even though I do like the movie too.

Yep, sure have. I liked it. The film was good, but I think I preferred the graphic novel version.
I only have a small collection of Alan Moore ones, Maus and Morrison's Batman: Arkham Asylum. I don't know why, I don't even really like Batman. They're just so expensive to buy, and my local library doesn't really have any :(

Ohh I haven't seen the graphic novel, but the film is great. I'll have to look for it.
I just saw at Barnes and Noble that there is a graphic novel of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I couldn't stay to check it out, but since I loved the parody novel with the same title, I think I'll go check it out soon.
I'd suggest reading the book first, but I do that with everything that starts as a book. :P

"John, being brave is going where no man has gone before and with Lizzy Stark, that is NOT what you'll be doing!" - Aunt Polly.
“I told him I was going to betray you, and betray Lyra, and he believed me because I was corrupt and full of wickedness; he looked so deep I felt sure he'd see the truth. But I lied too well. I was lying with every nerve and fiber and everything I'd ever done...I wanted him to find no good in me, and he didn't. There is none.”
I read 'A ghost world' and it was awesome. There's even a film based on the comic book (it has Scarlet Johanson and Thora Birch in the lead roles) and it's really good.
You can buy me with a coffee,I'm so cheap. Got bitten fingernails&a head full of past;Got a broken heart&your name on my cast.
&&I wanted her to tell me that she will never wake me.
Someone else already said it, but 'I Feel Sick' is amazing! Mostly I just read Batman, and Zombie Comic books, but one I don't think anyone has mentioned (I may be wrong) is the amazing 'Bear'.
Also some of the Tank Girl Comic books are really good, though others not so good, I find them a bit hit and miss.
Lastely just cause I'm a videogame geek, I love the Silent Hill graphic novels.
