nat, instead of giving up, you coould always shift your month around. I have a friend who did NaNo in july because she knew she'd be away in november.

Managed to write around 3,000 tonight and now my word count is, 29,791. The par set by NaNo today was 23,333. so I'm happy.
Getting back into writing now after my weekend of no writing. I am really enjoying this story.
