Did the Christians not lead the Crusaides? Same principle, different weapon.

about what in the 1000-1200's ?... in this time and era with how far we have advanced this stuff happening is unneccasary.. do they honestly think blowing up stuff will change anything. i could understand if there was a chance this would change stuff but all it ends up doing is alienating anyone who would be on their side

What about the IRA? They were Christians and they killed thousands of Brits not the long ago.

Anyway - all Americans are immigrants, and are technically mostly of British.

It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,

We're definitely going to hell,

I think there's a possibility that Uncle Buck's only prejudice was that immigrants blow more things up than non-immigrants. My interpretation was that he felt that Liv was insinuating that he said that "no christians ever dropped bombs" (which she wasn't!), not that that was actually what he thought. And was indignant at this (non-existant) suggestion:

That's just how I read it and please do correct me if I'm wrong Uncle Buck!

Yeah, I know! I've no idea what he actually meant or how he got that idea, I was just speculating and I got the feeling he wasn't actually trying to say that no one of other religions ever blew things up.

Yeah, I know, sorry I wasn't trying to be annoying, just I got the impression that he had got it into his head that someone was accusing him of saying that, as opposed to him actually saying it. Anyway. I'm utterly confused by what he meant now!

Well...seeing as apparently 'your friend' said that its not really putting words into your mouth is it. Your post said about immigrants, nothing to do with religion and if you then went on to mention religion then its your bad for confusing people.

My point was that its not an immigration problem, thats a weak argument.

a) things that happen in other countries can still very much affect you, regardless of whether or not that effect is direct.
b) even if a were not true, why would you only care about what was happening in your own country.

I don't know if it's just me, but I personally find it very hard to understand what you're trying to say when you don't write in sentences, and that could be the cause of some of the confusion.

cause i prefer to look after my own and care for my own. i can't do nothing about something happening in another country and its not my place since im not "god, world dictator" or any such thing you might have emotions for everyone but my emotional range is a tea spoon.

This makes me so, so sad! We all have to look after each other! Nevermind if you're black, white, big, thin etc, from Afghanistan, USA, China etc...We are all one person.

(Socialist coming out).
