Unable to hide scars

Hi all

I've always managed to hide my scars, until last week. In PE lessons I've always worn a top with long sleeves, but last week I didn't have my PE kit so had to do the lesson without a top. This means everyone's now seen my scars. Has anyone else unexpectedly had to reveal their scars, and how did they deal with it?

I don't think I've been in a situation where it's been as unexpected as that, but I have been in short sleeves when I would have preferred not to be, but normally it has been OK and no one has said anything at all. I do tend to find that my scars are always less noticeable than I think that they are!

Did anyone say anything in or after your PE lesson?

No one said anything about my scars. I was also obviously worried about having to do the lesson without my kit and people seeing me like that, so and embarrassing situation all round!

It's happened a few times and somehow I'm managed to think quickly and make up some apparently convincing lie!

Maybe less people actually notice than you realise.

I think you're right. I don't think anyone noticed my scars. I was probably more worried about them noticing about what I was having to do the PE lesson in!
