I was just wondering if somebody else might have more useful suggestion if you called again/if nothing else it'd help to pass the time to bedtime.

I don't get voices/commands, but one thing I find can be helpful for intrusive and very loud thoughts is if I put on music really loudly with headphones on to literally drown out my own thoughts.
Don't know if that's something you would want to try or would be helpful for you at all.
Also, for me urges of any kind are easier to postpone/endure if I keep my hands busy.

I'll try that. Sometimes the voices come through the headphones and it's more intense but not always so I can try

Yeah
phone games are excellent for that I find because they often provide a good combo of being mindless and still requiring a minimal degree of focus :)
also touch screens are more effective for that than a keyboard imo
