My therapist explained grounding techniques and asked me to make a list of grounding techniques using all of my five senses. I was wondering if anyone uses grounding techniques and what are your personal grounding techniques? All of mine reflect some way to make me feel safe or protected. The list I have thought of is not long enough I do not think so I was wondering if anyone had some sugestions or grounding techniques that you use.
I use texture on my feet! So run bare feet over carpet, grass or my favourite blanket. It makes my feel connected with the ground.
If I'm particularly vulnerable I curl up in a corner of a room on the floor, connecting with as many things as I can.
