Nothing 'cos I haven't got a other half. If I did I'd treat Valentines Day as an ordinary day & treat her to a posh meal and flowers on a completely different day, possibly sometime in August. At least then it be more genuine; I.E. I'm not doing it because I'm expected to do it as it's Valentines Day.

I just don't really get it. Why pay over the odds for flowers or for a packed out restaurant? It's not very romantic when you are being dictated to about everything. I'd much rather have something spontaneous. We shouldn't have to show how much we like our partners on only one specific day.
as much as i believe in the whole spontaneous love thing, i also love valentines day, my boyfriend never remembers.. i dont see it as a day to go to some packed restaurant, just to curl up on the sofa and watch a film with a pizza.
i think it has a nice message if done in the right way anyway

I made a paper rose, a bunch of coupons on little hearts good for things like me playing video games with him (I usually refuse) and cuddles and me cooking for him, a wordsearch with answers to do with our relationship and the necessary chocolates lol overall costed me about $5, but i already had in the paper for the rose and the crossword maker thing was off a website so really just $3 for walmart choccies hehe
It only has to be an expensive holiday if you make it be one, me and the hubby keep it as cheap as possible
I actually don't mind valentine's day, despite having no one inparticular to give things to. I think me and Amber are gunna have anti-valentine's fun day of fun and alcohol. ^_^
I like valentines day, I have no other half this time around, but still, I don't see it so much as a day to HAVE to buy each other things and the only time of the year to do so, but more a day to just celebrate it, although you can do it other times it's like a specific time picked out

It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.

We don't do massive presents. Last year, we did homemade cards and he visited me at uni for the weekend. This year, i'll try to convince him to cook me dinner - he's a chef, so it'll be dead tasty. Then i'll give him a backrub - which is something I do anyway, but this'll be a loonngg one, to reward/ thank him for my nommy nosh. And then an early night ;)

This is the first V-day in the last four years that I'm single, which is awesome! I'm gonna buy some candy to celebrate the occasion, lol.
I also found some rad reject valentines day cards at my work with pictures of bacteria on them and puns about getting germs. I'm planning on sending them to my friends like they're postcards :)
