I need a distraction... so talking about what we're up to that day, our interests, that kind of thing. Anything needing support should go somewhere else.

We don't post in the I need a distraction thread for multiple reasons. That said if there were a new slower one for support where you just wanted to moan and be heard that might be something we would use. If it were a thing mental health or general support would make the most sense. We would think anything serious nature should go in serious as its own thread. The boards are all slow enough that an extra thread wouldn't push anything down or out of the way. Didn't vote though because our opinion may not count given we don't post in the thread in question.

Please do not give me virtual hugs unless you are only using the hug function on threads. Thanks.

I would like to formally apologise for the spanner I threw in the works yesterday. I am very sorry.

Auror, if you think you might post in any type of thread, I'd say your vote counts.
Elmer, I found your spanner thought provoking.

If I could draw nice cartoons, I'd draw a little spanner saying something really thought-provoking to post here!

I can on to try and make the thread but I am confused by our discussions. Although I am having a bear of little barin kind of day. Ignoring lesbians (sorry Jenna), all the original options on the poll are tied but there was a majority 4 out of 6 who voted for the thread to exist.
And Camden and Lio suggested a 4th option of general support.
I thought about just making a decision but with no majority to guide me and my own indecisiveness I failed.
Perhaps we should discuss what the ground rules of the thread should be as Lio suggested and use that to break the tie? Camden did you vote in the poll? (ai can't see who voted and it might break the tie).

Did not vote because do not post in the I need a distraction thread so did not think it would make sense to vote.

Fair, I do think if you might use new thread you could vote if you wished, but it is also your prerogative not to vote.

I think it should go in serious because like Jenna said, the only reports its likely to attract is it being on the wrong board. If she’s happy to ignore those and not act on them, then it makes sense to me to put it there especially if theres gonna be potentially triggering content.
I was wondering, would replies to people be allowed? I think they should be because we already have the rv forum and the say here thread, so I think if we do create a thread it should be different from those.
Also Jen, I broke your tie :P

I was under the impression that replies would be allowed. It's just going to be like the distractions thread but a place to go when you need support.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

You broke the tie! Replies would definitely be allowed its for small scale support when people want a response but not to make a whole thread about it sort of thing I think.
I shall make the thread tomorrow in serious then.
