I didn't see another thread for this so I thought I'd make one. I just found this site that is like a chat for self harmers, basically you can either get help or create an account to be a helper. I like the idea that it's one on one and anonymous. So basically, you can go on and talk to someone if you feel the urge to self harm, if you don't like the person you get you can just hit next to talk to someone else.
I did try it, the person I talked to was lovely and very helpful. It was kind of normal chat I guess.
"Hi"
"Hey how are you doing"
"Not so good."
"Why? Is there something bothering you..."
and so on. Keep in mind that the helpers are all just normal people who want to help. They most likely won't have had any training in counseling so some may be terrible and some will be amazing.
"Some people get by, with a little understanding. Some people get by, with a whole lot more."
I think it's an awesome idea. This explains it really well.

Silence can be golden but gold can sometimes suffocate
Like that girl in that James Bond film, too late to respirate
Tragedy can be plain to see with lights and sirens
But sometimes it ain't quite so clear, Domestic Silence

For anybody who's still wondering...I used this site last night. And it's freakin' awesome.
It worked for you? When I tried it, it was kinda freaking out. :/ So, not a great review from my experience. The messages posted themselves repeating three times and told me consistently that the message hadn't been sent, but the other person replied, and then it just disconnected randomly…
I'm glad it worked for you though. I'll have to try it another time.

The same thing happened to me. The messages are being sent, but for some reason that message comes up every time.
And if it disconnects, you can just reconnect and wait a few minutes for another person.
I mean, it's not perfect, but it worked. I even got really usable advice on how to deal with liking someone. Haven't quite had the balls to put it into action yet, but still...
