I joined RYL 5 years ago, I'm now 26. I still struggle with self-harm and suicide attempts but I feel like I'm too old to come here anymore. Most posters seem to be in their teens and I just feel so out of place. Are there others who are in their mid twenties on here?
You are not too old. It's an issue people of all ages suffer from. I'm 29 (sob, only one more year of being a twenty something).
Don't feel you can't post because of your age, there are all ages here and the vets are I guess for us older people with different life experiences. There are all sorts of age groups that post and well what I mean is, age doesn't matter, its just a number.

Reason: didn't make sense
You're not too old. It seems most folks in here are in their twenties, but there's also a lot in their thirties. I'm 40 and I know of others between there and even up to sixty four. So, welcome!
Hello. There is no 'too old' with mental health issues, and certainly not with asking for and giving support.
I joined RYL 6 years ago and am now 23.
There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: 'This glass is half full'. And then there are those who say: 'This glass is half empty'.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: 'What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
I agree with the others that you (or all of us, really) are not too old. I am 25, 26 in April. I can't remember when I joined, but I did lurk on the old site when I was younger, though never posted or had an account...
I just joined and am in my 30's, I quite like the younger members banter in chat, and also have met some older members. Glad to see this thread though. :) xxx
